Plotter Head Close Up Photos

Hello everyone! 😊 So I made this plotter some years ago with my father, and I posted it on YouTube. Now in this post, I'm going to share with you some close up photos of the head.

Basically the head is like holding the pen on a rail. Now you can imagine that the pen can move up and down on the rail, but now we add springs to the rail, so the pen will automatically pushed downwards by the spring.

To lift the pen, we use a servo motor and add a lever to the motor to pull the pen up.

Below are the photos, and I'm sorry that they are dusty. Honestly the belt system on this plotter is not great. I don't know if it is the belt, or the motor that is just not accurate. More research needed, but since then it has been neglected. I would love to revisit this project again sometimes or rebuild it from scratch with a better system and components.
