My Sewing Adventure 2 - Make a Mask

I accidentally ripped my old t-shirt the other day and so here's an idea to recycle it! Make a mask!

First, I want to thank "Nanay Express" for the mask tutorial! I followed her tutorial to create this mask. I followed the large size. but apparently, the largest size is still a little bit too small for me.

So basically, we start from a 30x30 cm square of fabric. When lining this square, I learned from before not to drag my pencil on my stretchy fabric. So what I did is make dotted lines instead of straight lines. After that, we cut the corner of the square to make circles. Then we cut the shape a little bit more so it shaped like a mask from the side. The mask will have two layers of fabric.

And finally after some sewing (which I forgot to take the picture on each step) and a little mishap (I ran out of thread on the bobbin), the mask is done! This is my first time doing a topstitch, and it actually looks pretty cool like as an accent to the mask. Unfortunately it seems I missed the back part of the seam allowance, so the topstitch didn't actually sew the allowance to the front fabric together. The elastic band is also recycled from my old track pants.
